As mentioned in the Airhead post, Geda and I went to the Motorrad Days in Garmisch Partenkirchen, together with our friends Reinhard and Veronika. They, or should I say Veronika, had kindly supplied us with an R850R, so we could tour together.

Reinhard has booked a room for us in this Hotel, the "Alter Wirt" in Eschenlohe, 15km north of Garmisch.



We met Dirk Scheffer and his friend, employee and or business partner while haveing breakfast. They let us park our gear at their tent. Apparently it is an invitation only event for vendors. They still get to pay several thousand Euros for the pleasure.



These guys are famously slow setting up their gear, very much dependent on the activities of the night before. But boy do they have some nice stuff.

I have already posted their airhead bikes in the airhead thread, but I've left out their R1200 HP2 sport. Dirk told me it has 157hp, this might not be accurate as they've tested it on some Aussie made Dyno machine, which they import .



There was too much going on to take it all in. But the setting was nice so here are a couple of pictures showing where we were.



I think that's the Zugspitze in the background, Germany's tallest mountain.





Yes this guys is dressed appropriately.



He was keeping an eye on the enduro track. People could have a go once they'ed signed up. I don't think Veronika would have been too impressed had I attempted it with her bike.

He turned off the bike and restarted it once during a slow wheelie. He is incredible. Even did some tricks on the S1000RR. He had only just started to ride this bike. But apparently the rego plate is way to low. But even after bending it up 90 degrees, he still managed to scrape it.

I think that's a 240 rear. Harley riders eat your heart out. There is more than one way to ruin a bike.





Since this is Bavaria, no event without a tent.



or without good food for this matter.
