Has anyone tried Bluebridge??   I find them better to deal with when taking bikes across.
Easier parking and guys that help you if needed.... smiley

We've booked our crossing on the Interislander for the Rally in January  cheesy and were told our group booking number has been changed.  The new one is#####.  Cost for two return with bike $308

$308, that's a lot of money, even with the discount. Last year the cheapest ticket I got was $65. The return trip was about $95.  Well, we can't swim across, so we'll have to pay.

Petrol was $1.76 per litre for premium at this time last year.

I'd say there is little correlation between the price of gas and the shipping cost of a motorcycle on a ferry.

OK Alex perhaps I'm wrong in thinking the price of gas has a flow on effect to public and other transport,   huh anyway as Jim has indicated the cost may not have gone up - perhpas the maritime unions have negotiated a big rise for their workers, or we're just being ripped off.  I just thought the up to date info might be useful and I was certainly happy to get a group discount rather than paying the full cost whatever it was.

Doesnt look like I will make it this year Malcolm, as our son is now coming home for Christmas after spending two months touring South America, and leaves on the 10th of January to go back to the UK.
